Airdrie – Sky Tower

Situated in a community woodland area near Rawyards is a six-metre-high tower constructed from lengths of thousands of metal rods, interwoven to resemble sticks. The upper section has been constructed to give the appearance that some of the sticks have been caught by a sudden gust of wind.

Named, Sky Tower, it was created by artist Rob Mulholland and constructed from thousands of small individual rods totalling more than 1400 metres of steel, involving 6000 individual welds.
