Biggar – Public Park Swans

Background

These sculptures are situated around the small loch within Biggar Public Park, on the edge of the town (adjacent to the golf course and caravan site).

With each consisting of the shape of a swan on top, they are also are inscribed with moments in the history of the town, including its association with Albion Motors and the Covenanters, as well as some of the things that the town is famous for, such as the Biggar Little Festival and Hogmanay Bonfire.

The designer was local artists Richard Price, with with the assistance of Biggar High School pupils.
