Blantyre – Station Figures

These structures, which can be found on one of the platforms at Blantyre Station, were created to depict two African stretcher bearers who were said to have rescued David Livingstone (the famous explorer who came from Blantyre) after being mauled by a lion in 1844.

The artist is not known and there are no plaques to provide information.
