It is said that Lanarkshire is the birthplace of Progressive Rock, when the band called Clouds began experimenting with a new synthesiser sound to compliment guitars and possibly inspired many other well-known prog-rock artists. Cumbernauld’s own King of Rock, George (aka Kookie G), presents two hours of the finest (and sometimes very long) rock tracks from the golden era of Prog, plus some occasional new music from bands who keep the genre going.
