So you would like to send us some of your music?

Great! We’re forever adding to our library with the intention of playing many of them.  However, submitting your songs doesn’t always guarantee airplay – because we have a format, a kind of program schedule and there’s not enough hours in the week. We also have a quality threshold (believe it or not), where we want to play your best songs and preferably no cover versions because we’re fussy about showcasing your own work and your very best talent.

So, send us your music in MP3 format at really good quality – not stuff that sounds as though it may have been recorded through a drainpipe or in an abattoir. Our music submission address is  music@shireextra.co.uk .

We will let you know if your song has been added to our daytime playlist, for our DJ’s to randomly play them (and not talk over them) or if our night-time and weekend DJ’s have decided that our playlist totally sucks and they’re just going to play it anyway. We don’t discipline them for that.
